In-House Training

In-house training is a means for your organization to aid your employees in fulfilling the requirements of Pennsylvania Continuing Education. By allowing Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance to provide this service for you, you eliminate costly time and expense of travel to outside locations.This service is most cost-effective to groups of 17 or more employees.

Personalized, local service. Cost-effective, on-site seminars. Your choice of course, time, date and location. All instructors are skilled practitioners, with professional designations, and high levels of expertise in their field.

Courses are normally offered on a 4 hours basis. Classes are approved by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department for continuing education. No examination is required.

The cost of each seminar is based on a minimum of 17 participants, with a small charge for each additional person. The best value is obtained when this minimum is reached. Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance will consider holding a program for less than 17 people, and adjust the fee accordingly.

Provide instructor for the course. Our instructors are highly skilled professionals, with professional designations. They are chosen for their expertise in the topics they instruct. All expenses for the instructor are incurred by Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance. Supply course materials for the class to instructors and each participant. Upon completing the course, each participant is given a Course Completion Certificate. Manage all details of state continuing education credit, including: Initial course filing and participant filing. Record keeping of credits earned by individual, for all courses completed through Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance. Work personally with organization contact person to assure satisfaction with Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance continuing education program.

Provide a classroom suitable for the course. Establish a primary communicator between your organization and Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance. If necessary, provide a large screen and projector. Communicator will:

  • Meet with person from Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance personally, at course site.
  • Assist in gathering registration information prior to class date and forward to Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance.
  • Meet with instructor prior to class time and introduce them to the facility and management.

Be available during the program to answer questions. Presence during the entire seminar is required in order to receive continuing education credit.

Meet with organization communicator one-half hour prior to class. Give introductions and opening statement. Instruct the class. Monitor class attendance and insure all students have signed in and out properly on designated sign-in sheets. Distribution of Course Completion Certificates. Forward all materials to Pittsburgh Institute of Insurance for proper filing with the state.
